The Conversation - College and Young Adults

Join us for The Conversation on Sunday nights at 6:00 p.m. in the Evangel Café. The Conversation presents real life issues in creative ways.   Whether you’re seeking the face of Christ, or simply looking for answers to this whole “God thing,” we want you to know that you are welcome here.  From college to early thirties, The Conversation is your place.

 

Sunday Night Bible Study Life Group

The Sunday Night Bible Study Life Group meets at 6:00 p.m. tonight in room 206. Everyone is invited to attend. We are studying just what the “Kingdom of God” is and how it pertains to our present day lives.

Nursery

Nursery is provided up to age three during all services, and there is a room available in the Education Building for nursing mothers. During this Sunday morning’s service the following ladies are helping in the Nursery: Sarah Rudd, Marilyn Munyon, Jennifer Rakes, and Stacy Capel.

 

Courageous, February 1

Join us on Wednesday, February 1st, for a special showing of the movie, Courageous, in the Sanctuary, at 7:00 p.m.

 

Two Sunday Morning Services, February 5

Beginning next Sunday morning, February 5th, we launch “the Evangel Experiment.” The schedule is as follows:

9:00 a.m.   – First Worship Service and Children’s Church

10:05 a.m. – 10:50 a.m. – Children’s and Adult Sunday School

11:00 a.m. – Second Worship Service and Children’s Church

Coffee will be available from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. in the Evangel Café. 

Nursery is provided for all services.

 

Paradigm Super Bowl Party, February 5

Join Paradigm at David Taylor's house as we watch the Giants take on the Patriots in Super Bowl 46. Pizza and beverages will be provided, with kick-off scheduled for 6:30 p.m. For more information, contact Pastor Terri, or call the church office (385-1815).

 

Vertical Youth Super Bowl Party, February 5

Vertical Youth will be getting together to watch the Super Bowl at Tim and Kelly Neel’s home on Sunday, February 5th. Meet at Evangel at 5:00 p.m. to take the bus together to the Neel’s home. There is no cost. Just bring a dessert or bag of chips and a drink. See Pastor Ryan Forkel for more information.

 

Farewell to the Lunsfords

On Sunday, February 5th, we will be taking up a special offering for David and Renee Lunsford.   We will have a reception to honor the Lunsfords on the following Wednesday evening, February 8th, immediately after the Prayer Meeting. This will be a time to share with the Lunsfords just how much they mean to us. Please bring a dessert or finger food.

 

Fellowship Bible Study, February 10

The February 10th Fellowship Bible Study will be held at Jan Cox’s home, at 7:00 p.m. Please bring a food dish to share. For more information, see Jan Cox or Claraice Tedder. 

 

Business Meeting, February 12

Our annual Church Business Meeting will be held on Sunday, February 12th, at 6:00 p.m. All members are encouraged to attend! Two deacon positions and two trustee positions are coming up for reelection.

 

Primetimers Valentines Dinner, February 16

Don’t miss it! We have room for just 50 people at our Valentine Dinner at Olive Garden restaurant on February 16th, at 7:00 p.m. Sign up today in the foyer, or mark your Connection Card. It’s for those 50 years and older. We will order from the menu. Friends are welcome! Contact: Lois Lecce.

 

Missions Banquet, March 2

Mark your calendar for our annual Missions Banquet on Friday, March 2nd, at 7:00 p.m. This year's banquet will take place at the Monroe St. Convention Center (the old Marie Livingston’s location).
